Dr. Markou performs Follicular Unit Hair Transplant Surgery in men and women.  With the use of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and local anesthesia, the procedure is virtually painless.  

The state of art procedure used today for hair restoration is called Follicular Unit Hair Transplant Surgery. The procedure ranges from 3-4 hours depending how many grafts are placed. The grafts are 1-4 hairs in size.

Follicular Units contain hairs that grow together in nature out of one pore in the scalp. When Follicular Units are used the results are totally natural.

Today, most procedures are followed by low level laser therapy (light therapy).  The procedures are performed with or without the use of Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma injections.  When used with PRP, the donor site is infused prior to closure and the grafts are bathed in the PRP.
